When
Should I Be Concerned? How to tell if a child needs therapy
"At
any given time, one in five young people are suffering from a mental
health problem. Two-thirds are not getting the help they need,”
according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This
workshop focuses on what behaviors and signs a parent or school
need to be aware of to decide if a child would benefit from therapy.
Less
Stress Parenting
The main focus of this workshop is to lessen the burden on parents
and teach children to be more responsible, thus reducing your stress
while enhancing their self-esteem. You’ll learn easy-to-use,
practical techniques that help parents achieve respectful and healthy
relationships with their children. Also, age appropriate strategies
to address common parental concerns. This is parent survival training!
Interpersonal
Relationship Skills for Middle school and High School Age Children
This workshop provides essential skills for building and sustaining
healthy relationships. Whether it is between parent and child, siblings,
or peers, these skills help kids with anger management, avoiding
conflicts and misunderstandings, and become better listeners with
more empathy and respect for others.
Playful
Techniques to Help Kids with ADHD
Medication does not address most of the problems that children with
ADHD struggle with. It can not teach them social skills, awareness
of person space, following directions, empathy, problem-solving,
etc… Lectures don’t work, they aren’t paying attention
anyway. They sure like to have fun though, and they can learn and
have fun at the same time.
